Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747 G-VAST Cockpit First Observer Jumpseat Upcycled Office Desk Chair

This beautiful Office Desk chair is crafted out of the exact first observer jumpseat from the cockpit of a Virgin Atlantic Boeing 747 Sporting the registration G-VAST and nicknamed “ladybird”.

That’s right, this chair was taken from the cockpit of an actual aircraft and even more interesting history of this chair is that it was actually acquired by Jayyviation from a female Captain who flew the aircraft for years.

Not only is it one of the most unique seats you’ll probably ever see its also extremely comfortable with its sheepswool upholstery.

The sturdy furniture piece in its original form sits on a black steel swivel stand which can be adjusted in height.

The chair has so many surprises such as reclinement and lumbar support adjustments, arm rests that can be stowed and storage around the back where the life jacket used to be stowed.

Nothing has been changed on this chair to preserve the history of the seat, it has been professionally cleaned and mounted on a sturdy steel base.

Fitted on the back is a Virgin engraved plaque made from the actual skin of the aircraft this seat is from.

The B747 with MSN 28757 was delivered to Virgin Atlantic Airways in June 1997 and flew for the British carrier founded by Sir Richard Branson for 23 faithful years. In March 2020, at the first peak of the Corona crisis, it was removed from service and first parked in London and later Manchester.
